First let me start off by saying its National Pet First Aid Awareness month. Its a event by the American Red Cross to draw attention to know pet first aid. We also had a picnic at the park and we took the dogs too. They loved going to the park. Its also a huge plus because ace didn't get car sick yet again. Tiny update on Jake though he has now learned how to jump up on the couch and jump up on the bed all by his self.

So before I get into my health, I'll catch everyone up on what I've been up too.
So it's mostly been the usual cleaning, cooking, and laundry. Does anyone find it helpful making meals for the week? I'm curious. We did get to take the dogs to the park for the first time. They loved it, a bit of a handful with all three but completely worth it seeing how much they loved walking around. We also got to cleaned the cars but then of course we've gotten all this rain, so there went that. Now I said in my last post about how I saw the ostomy doctor and since then the pain I've been having has gotten worse and more consistent. Sunday was bad enough we called the hospital and the on call doctor left a note for my GI. So I had my appointment today and they still aren't exactly sure they still don't think it's inflammation. They think it's a nerve so they are having me try a Medicine to see if it will help with the pain. If it doesn't help then we're looking at surgery which means my surgeon will go in and undo everything she recently just did and then do it all over again. CRAZY RIGHT! Meanwhile I still taper off the prednisone to see if I can even tolerate the inflammation once I'm off it . He also put in another request for me to see pain management doctors. So that's what's new with me, how about you guys, what's new? So today is National Puppy Day! The purpose of today is basically to celebrate our little bundles of fur and to shine light on pet adoption. From all over the coast theres mother dogs who get put in cages just for breeding and a large majority or their puppies become sick. Meanwhile animal shelters fill up just about everyday, and after awhile those puppies or dogs that live in those shelters have limited time. So spread some love and go to a shelter and show some love to a puppy or a dogs inner puppy. Even though Jake came from a breeder ( my husbands pick ) he's still the puppy of our household. Our other two fur babies however did come from the shelter, and was the best decision we've made.
So how did everyones weekend go? We accomplished a lot in our household. I finally got my craft room cleaned and organized but theres still a lot of stuff still to be done. Its a slow but working process, but its getting there. We also finally got our guest rooms cleaned and put together some. We finally got the curtains and shelves hung. Theres still more to be done but for the most part its put together. Today has also been a pretty busy day, I got to work on some crafts to hopefully start selling them soon. Like I said its a slow but working process but its coming together nice. The dogs have gone for a walk, they also got to play outside with their toys. I think their happy this nice weather is coming back. Oh yea HAPPY SPRING EVERYONE! Im also gonna do some cooking and cleaning here soon. Tomorrow we go see the pain management and ostomy doctors to figure out why ive been having pain at my stoma. So that should be interesting, im hoping for some good news. Im also impatiently waiting for this book I ordered to arrive. Today has been a good day, now granted I didn't get any sleep last night but I was very busy today. I was able to get a lot of cleaning done today. Got our guest room in order so its actually functional. Have three boxes of stuff to get rid of. The house smells so good and the dogs stuff smells good. I think even they enjoyed today they had a whole room to just play and chew on toys for the most part of the day. Didn't get to work on the craft room but hey there's always the next couple of days. Oh and lets not forget to mention how my lovely dogs knocked their water bowl off the table and water was all over our kitchen floor. Yes that was so not fun to clean up. Also, anyone who plays games with my husband its safe to say his man cave has been cleaned and you will live in you enter in his room. Cant wait to get some more projects done this weekend.
How was everyone else's day, what did you do? So im sure this is going to be a topic for all my invisible illness people and anyone who has had hospital food. Do you love it or hate it? I know its going to be different for everyone all around so tell me your opinions. I know personally for me I love the food at our hospital. They have really good cheese burgers, mac and cheese, pizza, grilled cheese, sandwiches, chicken tenders and some really good smoothies plus sugar cookies. I know my husband has said they have some really good sushi and hot dogs. They also have other things but that's just a few of our favorite.
So how about it do you love hospital food or hate it? If you love it what's your favorites, if you hate it what was it? So my first question to everyone is did you survive the big winter storm? What did you do?
Well we got some snow. I think the dogs didn't know what to think waking up the next day and not seeing grass. Angel thinks she's doing her part of getting rid of it by eating it and teaching Jake to do the same. So today I've had a very indecisive mind, there's so many things I want to do but have no idea where to start. I've started to put some of my craft room together so hopefully I can get things on a roll soon. It would be nice if this warmer weather would come back. I would like to get outside and start doing things outside, but its just been to cold to really do anything. So since I couldn't figure out what to do today the dogs and I spent time playing inside with their toys. I think they had a blast destroyed like five of their toys. I've also been feeling like a rollercoaster the past couple of days. They have me tapering off my prednisone and of course the pain in my stomach has been coming back. GI doesn't thing its inflammation so he's having me meet with a pain management and ostomy doctors, since the pain im feeling is directly at my stoma. So there's that. Hopefully tomorrow ill get something done. Can I also just say that its weird not having any laundry to clean. I honestly didn't know what to do with myself the first day I noticed it. Also, let me get some ideas from everyone, what do you do to keep yourself busy? So I saw this recipe that I was interested in giving a shot I had everything I needed atleast I thought I did. Little did I realize they used plain white rice in the recipe and I didn't have any but I had chicken broccoli rice, so I figured I'd give it a shot. My next problem was I wasn't sure how to go about it because the recipe used uncooked plus it used milk , the package I used was using water and butter . So here is the recipe on how I made a really awesome meal it turned out to be.
Ingredients - 1 package of Knorr chicken broccoli rice ( follow the instructions on the package) - 2 cups milk -2 10oz cans of cream of chicken soup or just one large can - 1 packet of French onion soup mix - chicken breasts Directions Preheat your oven to 350 degrees, and spray baking dish with non-stick spray Cook the knorr chicken broccoli rice first, follow the instructions on the package. Takes about 7 minutes to cook it While that's cooking mix together the milk, cans of cream of chicken soup, and French onion soup mix. Then when the rice is done put it in the baking dish first, then pour the rest of the mix over top of the rice and then add the chicken breasts on top of everything. Cover with foil then bake for 1 hour. If you try this please let me know how it turned out for you. My husband absolutely loved it, and it turned out great for a last minute meal. So I thought I would tell you a little something about myself. I use to suffer from depression and now mostly it's just my anxiety. I have pretty bad anxiety it comes whenever it pretty much pleases. I could be on my way to a doctors appointment and have a panic attack. My hands get sweaty, I begin to start to shake, I definitely start to be very rushy, like constantly needing to move or do something. If I go to the store usually I'm not by myself sometimes I'm fine by myself but for the most part if I do have to go by myself I start to sweat, shake, and usually by the time I get home I've either forgotten something or didn't bother with getting it. But before going home I'm usually having a panic attack in the car. You won't see me speak in front of crowds and if you do pigs must be flying because I'll rush right threw it, shake and probably sweat to death. It's not easy dealing with it but I know my weaknesses and try to push through them when I can. I also know I'm lucky to have such a great support system in my life that try's to understand my anxiety.
So if your reading this and you can relate I'm here. You can talk to me, share your stories. |
